“Vision is the spectacular that inspires us to carry out the mundane.” Chris Widener
Can achievement be broken down into simple steps? It isn’t always that simple and easy, but those who achieve great things usually go a similar process, a step-by-step process.
Step 1: Dream it. Dream bigger. Everything with the heart and mind. They dared to dream, to believe that it was possible. They believed in the art of the possible. As children we dreamt all the time, over time we appear to lose or simply forget to dream. So lets reignite the ability to dream? Life is too short not to.
Step 2: Believe in it. Your dream needs to be big, brightly lit. It needs to be something that you believe is out of your reach. But it also must be believable. You must be able to say that if certain things take place, if others help, if you work hard enough, though it is a big dream, it can still be done.
Step 3: See it. The great achievers have a habit. They “see” things differently. They work on their dreams, they visualise it. They place themselves in their dream, they can visualise it.
Step 4: Talk it. Great dreamers talk in the present. They live it. Its simple, so don’t over think it.
Step 5: Plan it. Plan for success. Plan for the achievement of the dream. Plan the execution of the plan. Remember the adage; if you fail to plan you plan o fail! Its simple. Set yourself a “dream plan.”
Step 6: Work it. Its work – if it was easy everyone would do it. You’ve got to earn it.
Step 7: Run away from FEAR. Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of life getting in the way . Just do it!
Step 8: Cherish it. When you have reached your goal and you are living your dream, make sure you have fun with it. Build in incremental goals, little treats along the way!. Give yourself a MASSIVE reward when you get there. Help others enjoy it. Have gratitude, be gracious and generous. Use your dream to better others.
Its cyclical, so take a breath, go back to the start – do it all over again and next time dream a little bigger this time!
Don’t think about it today – just do it!
